Before the age of the "blog" I used to have a website I called, "Steve's Online Journal" or "SOJ" for short. This was one of the more popular things from that I started doing way back in 2003.

Steve's Online Journal Presents:
The Do It Yourself! CD Series

The idea for this feature came from old punk rock "zines" where they would have a cassette insert that you would cut out, and then go and make your own mix tape according to the list and cover art they provide you with. This is basically an update of that. I wanted to kind of give a snapshot of the music that I was listening to at a particular moment, and, of course, to showcase my mad photoshop skills.

The process is simple. Below are links for you to download cover art and tray liners for each of the CDs. The songs with links are available for free download on various websites*. The others... you'll need to locate on your file sharing network of choice. Once you have them all, print out the art, burn your CD, and viola! You have a new disc!

*Please note that many of the links have long since gone bye-bye. So, you might have to poke around a bit to find the linked songs.
